Tablage Cloud privacy policy
Effective November 5, 2026
Tablage Cloud (https://tablage.modularium.ai) is run by the developer of Tablage. It connects Claude and ChatGPT to the Tablage app on your Mac. It is a relay: it passes requests from your assistant to your Mac and your Mac's answers back to it. It's hosted on Fly.io in the United States.
What your Mac can share
Only when your assistant asks, and only what the settings in Tablage allow:
- Open tabs: titles, addresses, browser and window, topic, notes you wrote, and when each was last used; and, when asked for a page, its text.
- Tab history (if Share tab history is on): pages you had open in the last 90 days with when you first and last saw them, and how long the page in front was looked at over the last 30 days. Tablage measures that on your Mac (the front tab while you use the Mac) and keeps it only there.
- Your next calendar event's title and time, for “what am I doing next?”.
Topics, sites and pages you mark Private in Tablage are never shared. Turn off Share tab history to share only the tabs open now, or turn off Let Claude and ChatGPT use your tabs to share nothing.
Who receives it
Answers go to the assistant you connected: Anthropic for Claude, OpenAI for ChatGPT. Their privacy policies cover what they do with them, such as keeping them in your chat history. Nothing is sold or shared with anyone else, and nothing is used for advertising or to train models by us.
What the server stores
- A random identifier for each Mac that connects, and a one-way hash of that Mac's secret, until you disconnect it.
- For each connected assistant: the app name it gave (for example “Claude” or “ChatGPT”), when it was connected and last used, and one-way hashes of its access tokens (1 hour) and refresh tokens (30 days after last use).
- Short-lived pairing and sign-in codes, as one-way hashes, until they expire (10 minutes at most).
- Shared links you publish on purpose with Share as Link (see below).
What the server never stores
- Your tabs, tab history, page addresses, titles, page text, notes, searches or anything else your assistant asks your Mac or your Mac answers. These pass through in memory and are forgotten as soon as the answer is delivered. The only exception is a shared link you publish yourself.
- Your name, email address or Claude or ChatGPT account details. There are no Tablage accounts.
Shared links
When you choose Share as Link in Tablage, your Mac sends the title you gave the link and, for each page you chose, its title, address and site — plus your notes only if you turned on “Include notes”. The server keeps exactly that, together with which Mac published it and when it was created, updated and expires, and shows it as a read-only page to anyone who has the link.
- The link is a long random address (144 bits); it is the only way to find the page. Pages ask search engines not to index them.
- Viewing a page stores and logs nothing about the viewer — no IP address, cookies, analytics or counts. The page loads nothing from other sites (site icons are drawn as letters), and opening a link from it sends no referrer.
- Delete a link any time in Tablage ▸ Settings ▸ Accounts ▸ Shared Links. Its content is deleted from the server immediately; the address then answers “deleted” (for up to 180 days, without any content) instead of showing the pages. Links you set to expire are deleted the same way when they expire.
Logs
Request logs contain the time, method, path (without query strings, and without shared-link addresses), status and duration. They contain no tokens, codes, IP addresses or tab data, and the host keeps them for a short time only.
Notion sign-in
If you connect Notion in Tablage, the server swaps Notion's one-time sign-in code for a token and hands the token to your Mac within two minutes. The token is held only in memory and is never written to disk.
Your choices
Open Tablage ▸ Settings ▸ Accounts and choose Disconnect. The server deletes that connection and its tokens immediately. Removing the connector in Claude or the app in ChatGPT also stops access. Recent requests there shows what each assistant asked. Turning off Share tab history keeps history on the Mac while leaving the open tabs available.
Children
The service isn't directed at children under 13 and collects no personal information about anyone.
